The iD Centre is a fully serviced business incubation facility which has 32 furnished units for high growth technology based start up businesses.
Business support lies at the very heart of the relationship we have with the dynamic individuals who make up the iD Centre community. Over forty successful businesses can bear witness to the support that helped them to radically transform their companies.
By working closely with our entrepreneurs, we quickly analyse their support needs and we then provide that assistance either from our own internal resources or from trusted and experienced external colleagues. As most of that assistance is free, we can justifiably claim to be the most cost effective one – stop shop for high growth start up businesses.

Since opening in 2003 the iD Centre has nurtured over forty businesses and helped them create over 140 new jobs. It is run jointly by Derby City Council and the University of Derby and this co-operative approach has contributed to the success of the iD Centre.
